Edelman Award Update

As some of you may know, I entered the Daniel J. Edelman/PRSSA Award for Outstanding Public Relation Students competition last December.

Unfortunately, I did not make it as a finalist. Although I am disappointed, I knew this would be a tough competition. Last year’s winner was Brandi Boatner, the PRSSA National President.

As a junior with just one intership, I didn’t know if I would have  a chance. But, I decided that the worst thing they could do is not select me.

Overall, it was a good experience. I was even surprised by the fact that they returned all of my items (I sent a lot of originals). I wasn’t expecting that. I will definately apply next year.
